Practice My Citizenship

Terms of use

The terms for using Practice My Citizenship, including subscriptions, cancelling and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you use Practice My Citizenship, which is run by Happy Migration. By creating an account you agree to them.

Practice My Citizenship is an independent preparation service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Australian Government. The official citizenship test is set and run by the Department of Home Affairs, and we cannot promise that you will pass it.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure, and contact us if you think someone else has used your account. Please give accurate information, and do not misuse the service, copy its content in bulk, or interfere with how it works.

Free and paid access

You can answer a limited number of practice questions for free. Full access is available as a one-time purchase or as a subscription. Prices are shown before you pay and include any GST that applies.

Subscriptions and cancelling

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the website from your profile, or in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings if you subscribed in the app. Cancelling stops future payments, and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Purchases made in the App Store or Google Play are refunded through those stores. Nothing in their processes, or in these terms, limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To ask about a refund, use the contact page and choose "Payments and refunds".

Content

The questions, explanations, audio and design of Practice My Citizenship belong to Happy Migration or its licensors. You may use them for your own study, but not republish, resell or share them in bulk.

Our responsibility

We take care to keep the service accurate and available, but it may sometimes be interrupted or contain mistakes, which we will correct when we find them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or that was caused by something outside our reasonable control.

Ending your account

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not accept it, you can stop using the service and delete your account. If you have a subscription, you can cancel it and ask for a refund for any period you have paid for but not used.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
